The parcel number (PIN) and poly_code are manually entered by the Surveyor's office. Database comparisons are made between the PIN and the tax database for the individual township. An attempt is made to have a one to one match in both databases, however, some property descriptions can not be mapped because of poor legal descriptions. Attributes such as owner, market value, address, etc. are not produced or managed by the Deptartment of Surveying (DSM) and Mapping, and therefore have not been verified by DSM. Graphic elements are topologically clean. Line work overshoots and undershoots are not permitted. Parcel descriptions are analyzed on a case by case basis. Generally parcel boundary positions conflicting by less than 3 feet are dissolved into a single line. Townships are completed when accurate PLS field work is completed. The majority of townships in the county which have good control have been completed, mainly in the 4th principal meridian. Priority will be given to more populated township. Section corner and Quarter corner locations are within +- 3 feet with a 90% confidance. Survey grade GPS coordinates and private survey information are processed in the StarNet Adjustment program. From this infomation the accurate PLS coordinates are obtained. The PLS coordinates are used in AutoCadd to subdivided all of the sections in a particular township. After the section is subdivided, coordinate geometry is used to add the parcels from the assessor's legal descriptions. A DXF file is then made from the AutoCadd drawing, and imported into an ArcInfo regions coverage through an AML. Node errors are flagged and corrected in AutoCadd.
